Day 1,408: After repeatedly failing to prove election fraud, Trump ridiculously tries to get Biden to prove lack of fraud

Lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit filed on behalf of Donald Trump alleging voter fraud or election irregularities has been thrown out of courts across the country for substantive or technical deficiencies. The pool of lawyers representing Trump has been largely reduced to ones looking out of their mind and baselessly alleging nonsensical conspiracy theories.

Out of ideas, Trump is claiming that Joe Biden must do the near-impossible and prove a negative. Specifically, Trump is trying to flip the burden of proof by falsely claiming that Biden, the rightful 2020 election winner, must prove that his 80 million votes were all legitimate.

Trump’s claims are ludicrous on their face. Apparently he wants people to believe that it’s even possible to cross-check 80 million ballots in such a manner.

But it’s entirely unclear how Trump’s fantasy would even play out. Election results are being certified by states every day. Georgia and Pennsylvania, two swing states Trump was relying on to win, have already certified their results that Biden won. Controls are in place and verified by election officials. Recounts are available at certain thresholds. However, there’s no mechanism that forces Biden to do anything.

Legally speaking, there’s a reason plaintiffs have the burden of proof: they’re the ones making the allegation, so they must prove that allegation.

Trump has failed in that endeavor dozens of times in courts of law.

All that’s left is to make absurd and toothless demands on Twitter, all to save face or to keep his base engaged for a potential 2024 presidential run.
