Day 1,368: Latest desperate Trump talking point: Biden will cancel Christmas

Donald Trump attended a rally in Carson City, Nevada, hoping to boost lagging poll numbers in the state with just over two weeks before Election Day.

Trump hit his favorite, and frequently false, talking points, before pivoting to a new one: Joe Biden will cancel Christmas due to COVID-19 (despite the fact that Biden wouldn’t even be sworn in until four weeks after the holiday).

“Carson City will become a ghost town,” Trump said multiple times, before adding, “the Christmas season will be canceled.” He then falsely took credit for people saying “merry Christmas” throughout the country.

As if his portrayal of Joe Biden couldn’t get any more ridiculous, Trump is trying to portray his opponent, a devout Catholic, as a grinch despite Trump being an eternal one himself.
