Day 705: Trump remains the eternal Grinch

Wishing Americans a merry Christmas, happy holidays and a happy new year should be easy for a president.

For Donald Trump, however, nothing is ever simple.

First, a 7-year old contacted NORAD to find out where Santa Claus was on Christmas Eve, as they tracked his pilgrimage across the globe. The call got directed to Trump, who promptly asked the child whether she still believed in Santa, “because at seven, it’s marginal, right?”

Asking a second grader if they “still believe” kind of ruins the point of Santa.

Then, on Christmas Day, Trump ranted about former FBI director James Comey and about the “disgrace” that’s happening in the U.S. before wishing everyone a merry Christmas, again, stomping on what should be a nice sentiment.

Finally, Trump couldn’t just wish everyone well, instead choosing to yet again slander the media.

Trump has been the Grinch, is the Grinch, and apparently always will be the Grinch.
