Day 969: This is madness, this is corruption: Trump spends 300th day at Trump property

Incredibly, someone who vowed to drain the swamp of corruption dives into it more every day. As Donald Trump visits his various properties around the world, his team travels with him. That includes Secret Service, aides, dignitaries and more. Whether they’re staying over night, eating meals or renting golf carts, every dollar they spend at the properties gets reimbursed by the government. The profit ends up in Trump’s pocket.

That’s true when other members of the government stay at his properties too. Together, it’s corruption of the highest order happening in plain sight.

Sunday, Trump spent his 300th day committing such blatant self-dealing.

With apologies to Gerard Butler and the rest of the cast of 300: That. Is. Madness.

Trump has openly grifted from the taxpayer on 31% of his days in office. Despite past criticisms of Barack Obama, Trump is at his golf properties nearly once every four days.

Far from working hard for the American people, as he promised while campaigning, he continues working hard only for his bank account. Any rudimentary math shows that Trump has pocketed many millions of dollars via this scheme.

All that profiteering doesn’t stop him from tweeting nonsense, like he did after his round.
