Day 965: It’s no surprise that Trump made 9/11 about him again. He’s been doing it for 18 years.

Donald Trump has been lying about and exploiting September 11th since moments after the World Trade Center fell. For nearly two decades since, he has used a terrorist attack on the U.S. to prop himself up in nearly every conceivable way.

That trend continued yet again Wednesday, on the 18th anniversary of the attacks.

He began by unnecessarily injecting himself into a memorial.

And then, instead of honoring a solemn day that changed the nation forever, he tweeted nonsense all day. The garbage began within 10 minutes of his “we will never forget” tweet. He remained obsessed with Hillary Clinton, threw out a racial slur, bashed the media and, of course, focused on himself.

Two minutes after that last tweet, he was back to focusing on his speech at the Pentagon.

While there, however, he bragged about personally rebuilding the military by spending over $2 trillion over a three-year period.

And he, again, openly lied about being at Ground Zero after the attacks.

Despite all the words and bravado, Trump wanted to have the Taliban to U.S. soil for a meeting three days ago.
