Day 956: Forget Hurricane Dorian, the only wind Trump worried about was at his golf course
For the second time in three days, after claiming he was staying home from a planned trip to Poland to prepare for Hurricane Dorian, Donald Trump played golf.
Trump has now spent nearly 24% of his days in office at one of his own golf courses and nearly 31% of his days in office at one of his own properties.
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, the grifting on the taxpayers’ dime continued. Mike Pence stayed hours away from his meeting locations in Ireland so he could stay at Trump’s remote resort.
Back in the U.S., Trump was “busy” disputing forecasts from the National Weather Service — a federal government agency — after falsely claiming that Dorian could impact Alabama.
All weekend Trump was completely ignorant about basic details of Dorian. That’s probably because he was more concerned with the direction of the wind on the 8th hole than he was that of a deadly Category 5 hurricane.
