Day 939: Clinically obese Trump mocks weight of supporter after mistaking him for protester
Trump’s ad hominem attack followed a familiar pattern.
Donald Trump, whose BMI puts him at clinically obese, mocked a protester for being overweight at his rally in Manchester, New Hampshire on Thursday evening.
Trump apparently missed the droves of irony. There he was, a clinically obese man who believes exercising is bad for your health, lambasting someone for their weight while encouraging them to exercise, and then immediately claiming his own platform was one “of love.”
And then in turned out that the protester was actually a Trump supporter yelling at protesters. Trump ended up leaving a message for the supporter on Friday, but for some reason his aides wanted to make it clear that Trump did not apologize.
The fact that the perceived protester turned out to be a supporter is actually irrelevant to the story, because Thursday followed the same pattern for Trump as it always does. He wanted to demean someone’s message merely because of their appearance. Overweight, in too good of shape, black, brown, short, disabled, female: that’s how Trump defines who you are and your message, rather than dealing with the substance of an argument or criticism.
