Day 859: It’s been over 10 weeks since Sarah Sanders last gave a daily press briefing

Except, other than her title, there is no indication that she is actually the White House Press Secretary.

It has now been 74 days — easily a record — since she last gave her daily press briefing. Not coincidentally, that press briefing came before Robert Mueller’s report noted that Sanders mislead the media and American people from the podium.

Sanders has been content to hide from reporters for the past 10 weeks. Save for fielding softball questions on Fox News a dozen times, she has been more or less absent and quieter than ever. She has given embarrassingly sycophantic and mealy-mouthed statements, such as saying Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un “agree in their assessment” of Joe Biden’s intelligence.

Sanders pulls in an annual salary of $179,700, or three times the median household income in the United States. Over the past 74 days, to not do her primary job, Sanders has taken in over $36,000.
