An updated accounting of Donald Trump’s profiteering during his presidency.

We have relentlessly covered Donald Trump’s profiting when he travels to Mar-a-Lago as president. Unlike past presidents’ travel, Trump personally profits as a result of the Secret Service and staff expensing accommodations, food, golf cart rentals and more.

Our math shows that Trump profits somewhere around $13,000 per day in room costs alone just from the Secret Service.

This weekend, Trump has spent four days at the private resort, hosting China’s president Xi Jinping for meetings and other activities.

Just look at the non-security personnel alone that taxpayers are spending upwards of $1,000 per night to accommodate, not including travel costs, food costs or anything else. And Trump — as sole owner of Mar-a-Lago — is profiting on it all.

He’s squeezed in at least two more rounds of golf, too.

Total profit on Mar-a-Lago rooms for Secret Service for when Trump is there — not counting any money related to initiation fees or club member fees, other properties when Trump or the first family travels, the costs for some Secret Service members to stay at Mar-a-Lago full time or staff that travels with Trump when he stays at the property — likely easily exceeds $300,000.

Sort of makes the salary he donated to the National Park Service seem insignificant.
