Day 787: Thin-skinned Trump triggered by SNL rerun

Donald Trump remains angered at whatever it is takes to get the public’s attention off the numerous indictments and guilty pleas generated by Robert Mueller.

One of Sunday’s targets?

Saturday Night Live.

And yeah, SNL was a rerun.

He floated the FEC or FCC getting involved with free speech and parody issues, which he knows or should know are constitutionally protected. (Trump hosted SNL twice, including once during his campaign in November 2015 and didn’t seem to have a problem with the show then, or when they lampooned previous presidents. He also gladly appeared on the late night TV shows he singled out.)

Ironically Trump’s tweets appeared to be no more original content than the SNL rerun that aired Saturday. He managed to hit seven of his favorite buzz words and phrases — the ones that he peppers into tweets virtually every day — in his second tweet alone: collusion, Democrats, Russia, fake news, winning, approval rating and #MAGA.
