Donald Trump’s schedule would be kinda-sorta funny if it weren’t so pathetic. He should be filling his time to study policies, lobby Congress or engage with everyday Americans. Instead, the amount of “Executive Time” continues to climb as Trump swears he’s actually working.

This week has been no exception to Trump’s lackadaisical approach to his job. Thursday was the first time all week Trump managed to have anything on his public schedule — besides a photo-op or lunch — before 1:45 pm.

  • Monday: Trump met the North Dakota State Bison football team for a photo-op and fast food before his standard Monday lunch with Mike Pence. Meetings didn’t start until 1:45 pm and his day was over three hours later.
  • Tuesday: Trump signed an executive order at 1:45 pm and his day was over immediately after.
  • Wednesday: Trump’s day began at 2:00 pm and was over before 5:00 pm.
  • Thursday: Trump finally had an “early” meeting: 11:00 am.

The first three days of the week, Trump’s public schedule showed less than seven hours of work total, before putting in a “rigorous” six more on Thursday.

While a president’s public schedule won’t show every meeting or issue he must deal with as the day progresses, report after report shows that Trump does very little during “Executive Time” and does everything to avoid starting his day before 11:00 am. He slammed Hillary Clinton during the campaign, claiming she wouldn’t have the stamina or work ethic he would. Meanwhile, his Twitter account is as busy as ever, responding to various stories on TV networks.
