Day 743: Trump appears to have done less work in a week than most Americans do in a day

As we referenced just a few days ago, on Day 740, Donald Trump is impossibly shirking more work than ever. His days are filled with executive time (read: watching TV and live-tweeting Fox News segments and CNN chyrons) and giving bizarre tours of the White House.

Rather than filling what should be precious time with meetings, Trump is content to just shout “MAGA” and “the wall” into the abyss.

He wrapped up a historically empty week with yet another wasted day before heading to Mar-a-Lago, his South Florida resort, in the afternoon. The final tally on Trump’s public calendar: five meetings and two lunches (in addition to a fundraiser at his Washington D.C. hotel from which he managed to personally profit).

The public meetings all lasted less than an hour — including one that was a mere 20 minutes with the Vice Premier of China — and it’s likely the unknown ones did as well. In sum, it appears that Trump did less than eight hours of work — an average day for American workers — over the course of the entire week.
