Day 682: Trump’s best days, like Sunday, are the ones where he’s invisible and silent

Donald Trump has a difficult time going 24 hours without saying or doing something personally or nationally embarrassing. Most days he has trouble being in the public eye for 24 minutes without a gaffe.

Ironically, quiet days like Sunday make that all the more evident.

After arriving early in Washington from the G20 summit in Buenos Aires, Trump nary made a peep. No mouthing off to reporters, no unhinged tweets, no leaks of ranting at staffers, no millionth trip to a golf course.

He was decidedly unseen and unheard.

Trump’s approval ratings would surely increase if he had more days like Sunday. However, he just can’t help himself and will surely find a new way to negatively inject his name into the news by dusk on Monday.
