Armistice Day commemorates the cessation of hostilities on the western front of World War I. It is celebrated annually to show the unification of the world after a bloody, horrific war.

However, in Paris on Sunday, the 100th Armistice Day, there was striking contrast between the world and the U.S.

Seventy World leaders arrived together then walked, in the rain, shoulder-to-shoulder together down Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, showing the world physical solidarity.

Donald Trump arrived later by car.

Separate.

Alone.

The same way Vladimir Putin did.

The way the rest of the world sees the U.S.
