Day 638: Trump pretends to believe 59-year old Khashoggi died by starting fight with 15 trained Saudis

Over two weeks after U.S.-based journalist and Saudi dissident Jamal Khashoggi disappeared in the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul — and just two days after it was reported the Donald Trump administration and the Saudis were conspiring to make up a mutually-agreeable explanation for Khashoggi’s assassination — the absurd tall tale of what happened has finally emerged from the Saudis: it was a fist fight that caused his death.

The explanation is clearly a farce to anyone with a first grade intelligence.

It’s been previously reported that 15 agents were dispatched from Saudi Arabia to “meet” Khashoggi at the consulate. Khashoggi — less than two weeks from his 60th birthday — is alleged to have instigated a fist fight with those trained operatives. Then, those operatives — who, again, were flown into Turkey specifically to see Khashoggi — just so happened to have a bone saw or other tools necessary to dismember Khashoggi’s body, which still has not been found. On top of all that, the Saudis have denied for weeks any knowledge about Khashoggi’s disappearance.

Sure.

Again, no one could possibly believe this explanation, especially since no one as much as sneezes in Saudi Arabia without the approval of the royal family. An accidental death by fist fight without the King or Crown Prince knowing is simply not possible.

Trump, however, is pretending to believe the hideous story.

There’s no way Trump believes the ever-changing story that took weeks to craft, after help from the White House. It’s all about money and personal ties for Trump.

Many of Trump’s biggest supporters could not remain silent during such obvious lies from the Arab state.

Other Republicans, however, are readying to help Trump and the Saudis in the cover-up.

Ultimately, the Saudis assassinated Khashoggi because they thought they could without any repercussions. Their explanation belies the facts and previous statements.

Yet Trump is content to feign belief that a 59-year old started a brawl with 15 trained men who just so happened to be at the consulate waiting for him with a bone saw.
