Day 627: Women hate Trump

No surprise considering he pretends to believe none of them despite credible accusations.

Donald Trump likes to publicly tout that women love him and that they’re his biggest support group. They are not.

Women, by a -31 percent margin, disapprove of Trump, a shockingly large gap.

That likely has something to do with his indefatigable defense of every man in his administration — or tangentially related to it — who has been credibly accused of sexual assault. (Of course it also has to do with the way he demeans women, speaks down to them, insults them and generally treats them as objects.) Men are allowed to keep their jobs while the women are ignored or sham investigations are carried out. At the end of every public allegation, the woman is slandered by Trump and his cadre, no matter the evidence.

That nasty trend continued Monday when Trump blasted Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who accused the newest Supreme Court justice, Brett Kavanaugh — before he was jammed through the confirmation process — of assaulting her in high school.

Of course he claims such allegations are a “hoax,” just like he has about Russian election meddling and climate change. He knows it doesn’t matter whether things are true or not as long as he denies, denies, denies.

That’s been the formula for himself and one he’s content to use for everyone around him. It’s also a strategy which has overwhelmingly alienated him towards women. Whether that trend is shown in voting results will be known in just weeks, as midterm elections are generally a referendum against the president.
