Day 55: Trump Attacks Snoop Dogg, Financial Regulations Moments Apart

Donald Trump loves using Twitter to spout about a wide variety of issues just minutes apart. (Who could forget falsely accusing Barack Obama of wiretapping his phones moments before tweeting about The Apprentice’s ratings with Arnold Schwarzenegger's hosting?)

Today was more of the same.

Attack Snoop Dogg then attack financial regulation.

Remember: What Trump deems “unnecessary regulations” actually tend to help safeguard the financial well-being of the country, such as Dodd-Frank, and help the 99%. Slashing taxes overwhelmingly benefits the top 1%. With all those regulations in place, the Dow is currently sitting hovering around 21,000. Before many of those regulations were in place, the financial sector basically single-handedly collapsed the U.S.’s economy.

Trump’s been in office for nearly two months and he can’t avoid personal attacks and ignoring things that don’t matter at all to running the country. Part of it is intended to distract from bigger issues (Russia, conflicts of interest, Russia, Russia, a woefully unqualified cabinet, cronyism, Russia, personal scandals and, of course, Russia), but another part of it is the fact that the most powerful person in the world has paper-thin skin about anything and everything.

Trump doesn’t appear to be growing into the job at all. In fact, it seems like he’s most excited to get back to campaigning.
