Donald Trump is obsessed with Robert Mueller’s special investigation of all things Russia/Election 2016. Trump’s intense focus on the probe is for good reason too: many of his team members have already been indicted, his lawyer is in boiling-hot water and there are substantial questions as to whether he will walk away totally unscathed, heavily implicated or somewhere in the middle.

Ultimately, however, when going about day-to-day activities, one would expect Trump to push his every thought and feeling down and get to the task at hand.

He can’t.

According to an NPR interview with Trump’s chief of staff John Kelly, Trump rants about the Mueller probe to every world leader.

There may not be a cloud, but certainly the president is, you know, somewhat embarrassed, frankly. When world leaders come in, it’s kind of like you know Bibi Netanyahu is here and he — who’s under investigation himself — and it’s like, you know, you walk in and you know the first couple of minutes of every conversation might revolve around that kind of thing.

Imagine being the president of Norway or Nigeria and wanting to discuss trade or foreign relations during your very limited face-to-face time with the President of the United States, and then that person starts with a minutes-long diatribe about how he and his family are being investigated for colluding with a foreign power.

It’s not exactly a sign of stability.
