Day 433: Trump Hasn’t Had a Public Event in Five Days
While campaigning, Donald Trump proclaimed he would be the hardest working president in American history. No vacations, he promised. Constantly busy, he swore.
Not so much, it turns out.
Trump returned from his 15th trip to Mar-a-Lago on Sunday, costing taxpayers another $3 million as he continues to profit from his own jaunts.
Both in South Florida and since his return to Washington D.C., Trump has been largely reclusive, as Wednesday marks the fifth straight day that Trump has no public events scheduled.
His Wednesday consists of firing off random tweets, hosting a credentialing ceremony for new ambassadors, having lunch with Defense Secretary James Mattis, and watching an absurd amount of TV, no doubt.
