Madeleine Wilford, a 17-year-old student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, was released from the hospital Monday, after being treated for gun shot wounds in the massacre two weeks ago that left 17 of her classmates and administrators dead.

Donald Trump previously visited Wilford in the hospital and took photographs with the family.

This weekend, Trump upped the ante by using one of the photographs of Wilford in a hospital bed in a fundraising email and adding:

“The nation has turned its attention to the senseless school shooting in Parkland, Florida,” the email reads.

“Trump is taking steps toward banning gun bump stocks and strengthening background checks for gun purchasers,” it says. “The President has made his intent very clear: ‘making our schools and our children safer will be our top priority.’”

Beneath the body of an email was a link that indicated where people could donate money. Not to the victims, but to his reelection campaign.
