Day 39: Resist for Five Minutes Today

It’s Monday. Maybe you’re sitting in a cubicle, heading to class, routing phone calls or laying pavers.

You have time for five minutes of resistance.

Take a few minutes and call your representative and senators, whether they’re Democrats, Republicans or Independents.

Ask why they haven’t had a town hall. Implore them to push for investigations into the Donald Trump-Russia connections. Inquire as to whether your elected officials believe you’re some boogeyman paid protester. Tell them why the Affordable Care Act is important to you or your family. Quiz the staffer answering the call as to whether your elected officials are concerned about Trump’s attacks on the free press, and, if so, why they haven’t spoken out more forcefully against such rhetoric.

Find something important to you and let the people you elected know how you feel about it.

Might as well find some good on a Monday, right?
