Day 355: Donald Trump Can’t Recite the National Anthem

If you happened to forget about his questionable use of bone spurs to avoid the Vietnam War, but remembered all of his constant chatter about the troops, and all the disparaging things he has said about kneeling NFL players, you might assume Donald Trump knows a few basics about American patriotism.

You would assume wrong.

You see, before the college football national championship game Monday evening, Trump was caught on camera as the national anthem played.

Trump appeared to only know about half of the lyrics to the Star-Spangled Banner, frequently stopping as new stanzas kicked in, which is, like, really bad for someone who proclaimed they’re, like, really smart.

The United States of America in 2018: the Commander-in-Chief doesn’t know the national anthem.
