On Sunday, one of Donald Trump’s senior aides, Stephen Miller, 32, appeared on Jake Tapper’s State of the Union morning show.

It didn’t go well.

Miller’s ability to be a blind sycophant was on clear display early. While he blasted Michael’s Wolff’s book, Fire and Fury, as a work of fiction regarding the infamous June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower, Miller was forced to admit, “I have no knowledge of anything to do with that meeting.”

The interview deteriorated from there.

Miller repeatedly refused to answer numerous questions, including about Trump’s mental state. Instead, he was repetitive and, much to Tapper’s frustration, Miller tried to filibuster to wind the clock down on the interview. Eventually, Tapper was forced to cut the rambling Miller off by saying, “you have one viewer that you care about and you’re being obsequious.”

That one viewer, Trump, seemed to love the performance art.

For everyone but the most partisan, it was yet another embarrassing display by a White House representative.
