Day 312: Trump Needs a Hug

After a holiday weekend, not everyone is excited to go back to work. No one, it seems, is less enthusiastic than Donald Trump, as he woke up both cranky and needy.

A lot to unpack here, but the big takeaways:

1. Donald Trump is still out of his mind.
2. This tweet underscores just how important a free press and the First Amendment are to the United States.
3. If there was such a thing as a contest to see which news network was the most dishonest, and you were legitimately curious of real results, why would you want any outlet removed from the competition? What are you worried about? This feels like Trump admitting Fox News would “win” the FAKE NEWS TROPHY.
4. Trump thinks Fox News tells the truth, but literally every other news outlet — ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, to name a few — are conspiring against him. Occam’s razor says the answer is far more simple: Fox News employs a bunch of bootlickers to placate a delusional audience — including Trump — while the rest of the news outlets report facts and the truth.
5. Trump pathetically called himself “your favorite President” but wasn’t confident enough that people would understand and/or agree to what he was saying so felt the need to put “(me)” afterwards. Trump is the guy who buys himself a “World’s Best Boss” mug off Etsy and carries it everywhere around the office, even when there’s nothing in it.

What a feeble and deeply disturbed person.
