Donald Trump — he who proclaims he doesn’t watch cable news anymore — was watching Fox & Friends this morning. (Perhaps he’s right, then, since Fox & Friends isn’t news.)

The country knows he was watching because he was his own narc.

Perhaps convinced by the things he was seeing, or what he desperately wants to be true, or both, Trump banged out a 25-word tweet that had three lies in it, along with one truth.

LIE: “It is now commonly agreed…”

TRUTH: “…after many months of COSTLY looking…”

LIE: “that there was NO collusion between Russia and Trump.”

LIE: “Was collusion with HC!”

There is no common consensus on much yet, as there are numerous investigations on-going, including the non-partisan one being undertaken by Robert Mueller. Yes, it has likely been expensive, though the amount of Mueller’s budget is a secret. And, yes, Mueller’s team is ever-growing. That tends to happen when you’re investigating foreign nations meddling in American elections and American citizens engaging in potential crimes that could rise all the way to the level of treason.

Meanwhile, though Trump and Fox and Breitbart and the right-wing echo chamber are still trying to push a bogus theory about a 2010 Uranium deal to otherwise confuse Americans, they can’t take the target off Trump’s back.

Trump can’t just proclaim no collusion took place and hope this whole thing vanishes. There’s Trump making the bizarre choice of choosing ever-Russia friendly Michael Flynn to be his National Security Advisor. There’s the firing of James Comey after which Trump admitted on national television that the firing was an attempt to get Comey to stop looking into potential collusion issues. There are the shady, undisclosed Jeff Sessions meetings with the Russian ambassador months before the election and just before a dramatic shift in Trump’s proposed policies toward Russia. There’s Donald Trump, Jr.’s meeting with Russian stooges in Trump Tower in June 2016. There’s Senior’s closed-door meeting with Russian officials in the Oval Office where he revealed highly classified information. There’s an unsigned bill, passed overwhelmingly by the GOP-led House and Senate, increasing sanctions on Russia.

Nyet, a tweet, one rife with lies, won’t put this issue to bed.
