Trump threatens to remove vital key pieces of disaster recovery while promising to always be with the island.
As Puerto Rico continues to struggle in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, Donald Trump has been routinely criticized for a lackluster and baffling response to a disaster affecting millions of American citizens.
Nearly 90 percent of Puerto Rico is still without power, workers are exhausted and the death toll continues to rise as access to clean drinking water remains a massive problem.
Despite going to Puerto Rico last week and seeing the huge hurdle that so many people are facing, Trump has decided to split the baby on relief: he has promised to both abandon Puerto Rico as well as support Puerto Rico.
