Donald Trump and the Republican-led Congress are unpopular. Really, really unpopular.

Trump’s poll numbers have taken a dive, likely due to behavior that somehow gets more erratic and strange by the week. (See, for example, a delayed response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, more public feuding with Cabinet members, bizarre social media behavior, and continuing to blame the media for stories that end up being true.)

According to the latest Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research Poll, just 32 percent of Americans approve of the way Trump is handling his job. For comparison, the same group polled Trump’s approval rating in June at 35 percent and March at 42 percent.

Trump additionally polled terribly when respondents were asked how the following words described him: honest (23 percent), level-headed (16 percent) and strong leader (26 percent).

Congress is in even worse shape, with just 18 percent of Americans approving the way they’re handling their jobs, against 81 percent disapproving.

Overall, just 24 percent of Americans believe that the country is heading in the right direction under Trump and the GOP-led Congress.

So much for MAGA.
