Day 259: Tillerson: Trump is a [Expletive] Moron

In July, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson allegedly called Donald Trump a moron. An f-ing moron, to be exact.

Context? Oh, it was after a meeting with the national security team at the Pentagon. How reassuring.

Just days earlier, Tillerson had openly disparaged the president, referring to him as a “moron,” after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump’s national security team and Cabinet officials, according to three officials familiar with the incident.

The headbutting between Tillerson and Trump has been apparent for months. Rumors have circled for just as long that Tillerson was leaning toward resigning, a notion he pushed back on yesterday.

In light of that, despite the accurate summation of his boss, Tillerson deserves absolutely no credit, like the rest of the people in the Cabinet who privately bash Trump in the dead of night but show up to work smiling the next day. (On top of that, Tillerson has slowly decimated the depth of the State Department, something many officials have noted will set the department many, many years after the current administration is gone.)

By staying, members of the Cabinet and senior staff only serve to normalize the absurd.

The moronic.
