Day 161: Did Donald Trump Become Presidential Today?
Spoiler alert: He didn’t join the likes of Lincoln, FDR and JFK.
“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” — Abraham Lincoln
For months, pundits have fallen over themselves asking if we have finally found the moment that Donald Trump finally acted the part and became presidential.
“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” — Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Speeches and bomb drops have gotten some to think Trump has encompassed the idea of being “presidential,” at least in fleeting moments, but those have only really been espoused by a small minority.
“And so my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” — John F. Kennedy
But maybe today’s the day the rest of us get on board.
“She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!” — Donald J. Trump
Nope.
