Day 135: Donald Trump Continues to Benefit from Barack Obama

A falling unemployment rate can be traced to one man, and it’s not Donald Trump.

The U.S. economy continued to improve as the unemployment rate dropped to a minuscule 4.3 percent.

Many on the right praised the actions of Donald Trump in helping the rate get so low. Just one problem: Trump and the GOP have passed zero legislation related to job creation, infrastructure, tax reform or anything that could have led to such an improvement (or really anything of any significance in any field whatsoever). In fact, prior to the election, Trump decried unemployment numbers as fake. Now, he celebrates them.

There’s only one solution to the ever-improving job figures: the gains and positive movement by the previous administration continue to benefit the new administration. In fact, the budget that Congress and the White House are working under — that has led to additional economic growth — is one signed by none other than Barack Obama.

This growth hasn’t been the result of a few months of general dysfunction and inaction by Congress and Trump. It’s due to eight years of intelligent and methodical decisions by Obama and his team in the wake of a recession.

Thanks, Obama.
