With Congress ready to pass a stimulus bill, Donald Trump raised a last minute objection and threw the whole bill into uncertainty. Echoing Democratic pleas, Trump claimed that $600 for most Americans was not nearly sufficient and demanded that it be raised to $2,000.

Democrats have since pounced, trying to get the stimulus money higher and closer in line to their original proposals.

Congressional Republicans have balked at the higher numbers, currently refusing to raise the amount by even a penny.

Trump swore that he would be busy working on the issue, among others.

His daily schedule for Thursday had an unusual tagline: “As the Holiday [sic] season approaches, President Trump will continue to work tirelessly for the American People [sic]. His schedule includes many meetings and calls.”

Yet no such meetings and no such calls were listed.

He got busted playing golf in South Florida instead.

COVID-19 is ravaging the U.S. People are sick and dying. More small businesses are crumbing every day and people are desperate for financial relief. The holidays are only serving to shine extra light on the struggles for many.

But rather than doing anything productive, Trump is trying to govern via tweet, with his phone in one hand and his pitching wedge in the other.

When he got home, he continued to spout the same baseless election fraud conspiracy claims that he’s been shouting for weeks.

Golf and conspiracy theories are all that That will have left in less than four weeks.
