Day 1,424: US averaging more than 2,400 COVID-19 deaths per day and Trump is still playing golf

Donald Trump has overseen a horrific COVID-19 response where he has lied to the American people in public and showed total apathy in private. That has caused the nation to suffer for nearly a year and his posture has remained unchanged.

Nearly 300,000 Americans have died from the disease. Another 15 million have been infected, suffering unknown short-term and long-term medical issues, to say nothing of the devastating financial effects of the pandemic.

Post-Thanksgiving, as experts predicted, cases are skyrocketing, as the nation is now averaging more than 2,400 deaths per day.

Trump seems totally nonplussed, with one foot out the door and the other trying to kick donors for more money for legal follies.

Sunday he could be found palling around his private Virginia golf club.

While Americans are dying by the thousands, Trump is joyfully playing golf with his buddies, without a care in the world.
