The Group of 20 summit is occurring virtually this year in light of the coronavirus.

The summit, which features 19 of the world’s largest countries and the European Union, focuses on economic considerations and global coordination in achieving goals, as well as terrorism, health issues and more large-scale issues.

Donald Trump, who could attend just steps from his bed this year, managed to last just 13 minutes after the 8:00 am start time before he began tweeting baseless allegations about election fraud.

While the conference continued, discussion issues facing the world, Trump left to play golf. Saturday’s visit was Trump’s 303rd such trip to one of his private courses in less than four years. (For comparison, Barack Obama played 333 times during his eight years in office and didn’t line his own pockets in the process.)

While other world leaders were talking about COVID-19 and how to avoid the next one, Trump was lining up putts.

By 10 a.m. ET, the President had departed the White House on his way to his namesake golf club outside Washington, DC.

He was there when the “side event on Pandemic Preparedness” got underway, featuring remarks from French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and several other world leaders. Trump did not participate.

Trump has totally checked out of a job he never had any interest in doing in the first play. Even with the world’s eyes watching, he couldn’t care less.
