Day 1,345: Trump keeps yelling about Hillary Clinton despite it being 2020 and his opponent being Joe Biden
Donald Trump held a rally in Newport News, Virginia on Friday. He shouted the same weird, racist and just plain wrong things he has for a while: Robert Mueller’s legal skills in a hypothetical divorce proceeding, Cory Booker’s imagined suburban invasion, and the idea that COVID-19 isn’t that bad.
But, for some reason, Trump remains obsessed with Hillary Clinton, despite the fact that the Democratic nominee is Joe Biden.
Trump lied and absurdly claimed that it has been proven that Clinton conspired with Russia to dig up dirt and sow disinformation presumably against herself, since that’s where all the Russian bots, disinformation and troll farms were focused.
On average, over the past year, he has name-dropped Clinton nearly twice per week on Twitter.
“Lock her up” chants still fill the air at Trump rallies, as he glibly plays into them and encourages them. The crowd is seemingly oblivious that Trump has been in office nearly four years and Clinton has not been locked up and will not be locked up because she didn’t commit crimes.
