Day 1,331: On 19th anniversary of 9/11, Trump struggles to recite Pledge of Allegiance

Donald Trump loves to wrap himself in the flag — sometimes literally — and tout an “America first!” message.

And yet, he fails to know the most basic things about the country.

He doesn’t understand the Constitution at all.

He doesn’t care about democracy.

He doesn’t know the words to the national anthem.

And on the 19th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, cameras caught Trump struggling through the Pledge of Allegiance.

Meanwhile, a clearly panicked Trump is on TV laughably accusing his opponent, Joe Biden, of being on performance-enhancing drugs making him smarter and more eloquent.
