Day 1,289: One day after Trump floated delaying election, White House bashes Hong Kong for delaying theirs

Just a day ago, Donald Trump went full authoritarian and suggested delaying the 2020 election.

Proving irony is never dead, Friday the White House condemned Hong Kong for “undermin[ing] democratic processes and freedoms” by delaying their legislative elections for a year, a message that would have carried more weight but for Trump’s Thursday comments.

Also on the topic of elections and hypocrisy, Trump has repeatedly claimed, without evidence, that Joe Biden is suffering from a severe mental decline. Yet Trump tweeted on Friday that he defeated Barack Obama in the 2016 election.
