Day 1,276: With Saturday’s round, here’s a visual representation of how often Trump has played golf since taking office
With enough Americans dead from COVID-19 to fill a golf course’s acreage as the virus hits new peaks by the day, Donald Trump’s golf habit moves full steam ahead.
By CNN’s count, it was Trump’s 278th day at one of his golf clubs.
Trump has spent an average of 6.5 days per month since January 2017 at one of his golf courses, rubbing elbows with people who people pay to be there, while pocketing cash from the taxpayer. Rain may cause him to change locations, but neither pandemics nor other scandals will keep him away.
It’s hard to quantify how ludicrous 278 days at a golf course is for a man whose job is always chaotic, but especially so during a time when a pandemic is killing thousands of citizens per week. But below is a representation, with one mini golf ball — a period — for every visit Trump has made to a golf course since January 20, 2017.
