Day 1,213: Trump’s Saturday tweetstorm accidentally reflected poorly on own decisions, expressed zero empathy for coronavirus victims

The weekly Saturday tweetstorm was in full effect for Donald Trump. Maybe lonely at Camp David, definitely upset about Barack Obama headlining a nationwide virtual graduation event, Trump threw his typical weekend temper tantrum in the form of dozens and dozens of tweets.

Starting bright and early he retweeted random Twitter users who lapped praise on Trump. He also expressed support for people yelling vulgarities at the press for doing his job.

He falsely claimed that it was illegal for liberals to create and run businesses, even asking for people to “send names & events,” whatever that means.

And he decided to keep pushing an invented conspiracy theory based on nothing.

Trump mentioned the coronavirus exactly one time, and that was only to pat himself on the back and the U.S. approaches 100,000 deaths and surpasses 1.5 million infections.

He accidentally revealed the massive holes in one of his key policies.

It seems as though the “big, beautiful wall” — that Mexico didn’t pay for — doesn’t really help stop drugs. Not only is it easily penetrable, tunnels burrow beneath it without issue.

Trump also continued to try and prop up disgraced former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, who twice pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Notably, Trump said he fired Flynn for that very reason.

Saturday was more of the same from Trump, trying to spin ridiculous and false theories into new truths, all while trying to soothe himself using far-right talking heads on the internet.
