Donald Trump’s coronavirus response continues to be a farce of epic proportions, putting millions of American lives at risk.

Desperate to keep the charade going that he’s working hard, Trump proclaimed Wednesday that his schedule is “packed all day with meetings[.]”

He claim that he had “no time for stupidity” is debunked by his antics at his own briefings, including Wednesday.

Trump’s public schedule also refutes Trump’s “packed all day with meetings” claim. Trump had three items on his schedule on Wednesday: an intelligence briefing, a phone call with non-profit organizations and a press briefing with the coronavirus task force.

As for Trump’s claim that he’s “working around the clock,” he hasn’t had an item on his public calendar before 10 a.m. in over a week. Less than three weeks ago, he played golf twice at his private club in West Palm Beach.

Why was his morning so empty? He was busy tweeting and retweeting far right-wing organizations and talking heads. His schedule has huge chunks of time dedicated to the nebulous “executive time,” where he can watch cable news and tweet.

His own briefing even got postponed because he couldn’t peel himself away from TV and Twitter.

As usual, Trump wants to appear busy more than he wants to put in actual work to combat a pandemic.
