Day 1,151: There’s a pandemic on-going and Trump cares more about playing TV critic

The last two Democratic nominees for president, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, debated in a unique format Sunday night. With the coronavirus making its way around the world, Biden and Sanders debated in a CNN studio without a live audience.

If anything, the uniqueness allowed the candidates to better focus on issues rather than applause lines. While the two differed on many issues, they agreed that Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus outbreak has been horrific and dangerous in basically every way possible.

Trump, apparently keen on proving them right, decided to be play TV critic, just as the debate ended. He panned the event as a “VERY boring debate.”

Trump also claimed that Biden lied when he said Trump wanted to cut entitlements. Except that’s exactly what Trump said just 10 days ago, and are further proven out by his proposed budgets.

Trump’s efforts should be squarely focused on reining in a disease that is getting worse by the day, including infecting and killing Americans. Instead, he wants to play critic via Twitter.
