Day 1,123: Trump struggles to read simple statement at Daytona 500

Donald Trump attended the Dayton 500 — well, what was supposed to be the Daytona 500 before weather pushed 90% of the race into Monday — in what was clearly a partisan attempt at rallying his base.

He even brought along props.

He also tried to give a few inspirational words to the drivers and the troops, because no event would be filled without Trump pretending to love the military, despite a litany of evidence showing blatant disrespect to military members and their families.

Trump tried to follow along scripted remarks with his finger as he spoke, leading to an awkward and staggering shout.
