Day 1,090: Trump continues war on toilets: ‘you don’t get water!’
Donald Trump was in Milwaukee for another campaign rally that he slurred and ranted his way through on Tuesday. He played the classic hits, but worked in some of his new favorites too, including his latest war on toilets and water flow.
Trump shouted to the crowd, “Sinks, toilets and showers: you don’t get any water! They put restrictors on and now they made it permanent!”
It’s unclear who the “they” is that he’s blaming. Nevertheless, his claim is that “they” are only allowing showers and sinks to drip instead of flow freely.
The weirdest part about these rallies is the cult-like atmosphere with the crowd believing every word Trump says, even when their own experiences obviously contradict his words. Trump is alleging that there’s no water coming out of showers and sinks, but the attendees take showers. They wash their hands. They brush their teeth. They know Trump is lying. Yet they find themselves cheering his ridiculous claims anyway.
When Trump vowed to get rid of the imaginary restrictors to restore “full shower flow,” the crowed uproariously celebrated, as if they were actually getting something new.
