Day 1,089: Donald J. Twitter back at it again with racist, disgusting and incredibly false tweets

Donald Trump had taken a mini break from the truly crazy tweets over the past few days, focusing predominately on some semblance of an impeachment defense and poll numbers. That stopped Monday when all of his bad impulses came to a head.

He showed his racism, yet again (while misspelling Pocahontas’ name):

He admitted he doesn’t care about following the law because he’ll do whatever he wants anyway:

(Notably, he had to send the above tweet second time after confusing “imminent” (meaning impending) and “eminent” (meaning renowned).)

And he flagrantly lied about his healthcare actions. Trump has actively tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act by legislation and get it struck down through the courts. Some of those challenges are still pending in court. If successful, all of the ACA’s tenets would be striped away, including the pre-existing conditions provision. For reasons unknown, Trump tried to take credit for “sav[ing]” it anyway:

Though Trump said “you have it now,” that’s due to Barack Obama signing the ACA into law. If Trump had his way, it would have been severely scaled back or outright repealed years ago.

On top of all of that, he tweeted a grotesque photo of a dead body slumped over a fence before deleting it. His Press Secretary — who still has more DUIs than press briefings — defended the tweet by equating Democrats with terrorists.

Trump and his team are not only acting in bad faith at every waking moment, they embarrass the office every single day they’re there.
