Day 1,081: Iran just promised to nuclearize. Trump went to his golf club for the 14th of the last 16 days.
Donald Trump needlessly ripped up a deal with Iran that forced them to halt their nuclear program. He did so despite Tehran adhering to its terms, even according to U.S. intelligence. Then, more recently, escalation between Iran and the U.S. peaked when Trump ordered a drone strike on ruthless Iranian Gen. Qassim Soleimani.
Iran has understandably considered that as an act of war. In response, Trump threatened to commit war crimes if Iran retaliates.
Nonplussed, Tehran announced that they will no longer continue to abide by nuclear limitations set out in the Iran deal.
Iran is the second country in less than a week to announce they will continue to develop nuclear weapons. They join North Korea, who made a similar announcement a few days ago.
While the world has gotten increasingly more dangerous under Trump after failed negotiation after failed negotiation, he was holed up at his golf club, yet again Sunday. He has been there December 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 (twice), 30 and 31. He was also there January 1, 2, 4 and again today.
Foreign adversaries are developing nuclear weapons that increasingly risk the lives of Americans and U.S. allies. And Trump is only concerned with developing his putting stroke.
