Day 1,074: Trump hits golf links for 8th time in 9 days

The White House almost never confirms Donald Trump’s golf outings. They routinely try to obfuscate just how frequently he plays on taxpayers’ dime, just a few years removed from Trump lambasting Barack Obama for far more infrequent rounds when he was president.

But Trump is playing more and more, especially of late.

Over the past nine days, he has played every day except Christmas. And the numbers are staggering when broken out beyond that.

He’s spent about 37 hours at his golf club in the past eight days.

And over the past three years, Trump has spent about one in four days at one of his golf properties and over 30% of his days in office at any one of his properties.

Historically lazy, historically self-dealing.
