Day 1,065: Trump angry at Christianity magazine: ‘no president has done more for religion than me’

The unearned hubris from Donald Trump has always been ridiculous. But Friday’s claim shows just how delusional he remains.

He nonsensically claimed that no president has done more for “religion itself” than him in response to Christianity Today magazine saying it was time for Trump to go.

Earlier in the day he attacked the magazine as being unable to “read[] a perfect transcript of a routine phone call…”

As a reminder, Trump has been credibly accused of sexual misconduct and assault by over two dozen women, has bragged about grabbing and groping women, said avoiding sexually transmitted diseases was his “personal Vietnam,” is a twice-divorced serial adulterer, illegally used his charity to line his own pockets, led a policy to separate families and lock children in cages, and routinely harms the poorest and most vulnerable members of society with his words and policies.

And, like Friday, he panders to the religious right at every turn, despite being the most obvious phony about it all.
