Day 1,049: Trump learns that when you act like a clown, the world will treat you as such

He fled NATO summit early after world leaders caught laughing at him

Donald Trump has become an expert at getting humiliated on the world stage. That was true again this week at the NATO summit in London.

They used toddler-like tricks to get him to vocally support NATO and gave him the bare minimum in other areas so he could claim a victory. Really, they know the jig at this point.

That’s why it wasn’t a huge surprise to see world leaders openly laughing at Trump after he caused scheduling backlogs due to a lengthy impromptu press conference.

Trump’s actions for years have brought this treatment on himself. No one takes him seriously, and they know he is in far over his head. The fact that leaders don’t even care to hide how laughable his conduct is should be a wake-up call for Trump and everyone around him.

But it’s not, and never will be.

Ego deflated, he fled London.

Of course, that was after he lobbed a shot at Canada’s Prime Minster Justin Trudeau, calling him “two-faced”. Trump was awful proud of that barb, too.

When he was back in the U.S., Trump, right on cue, bragged about things the other NATO nations schemed ahead of time to give him. He then brazenly tried to pretend that the world had “deep respect” for him, despite video evidence to the contrary.

As always, there’s a tweet for everything.
