Day 1,042: There’s no way to watch Trump’s Sunrise rally and assume he’s sane and healthy

Trump seemed to think he ran against Barack Obama in 2016, slurred all night and invented a war on the word “thanksgiving”.

Donald Trump held a rally in Sunrise, Florida Tuesday night that was highly bizarre, even by his standards. (It’s worth noting that many people seem to give Trump a pass as “Trump being Trump”. But presidents — especially when it comes to their fitness for office — have never been graded on their own scale before Trump, and he shouldn’t get that benefit either.)

Really, there’s no way an unbiased observer could watch the event and assume Trump is mentally healthy. The fact that he was recently treated for a secret medical condition doesn’t help his case.

He was slurring his words all night.

He was even more belligerent than he usually is, as he told tall tales, including attempting to rewrite the facts about impeachment.

He seemed to think he ran against Barack Obama in 2016.

He made odd commentary on the governor of Florida’s physique.

He went on an unhinged-from-reality diatribe, claiming people want to eliminate the word “thanksgiving”.

And he falsely claimed that median income was raised $10,000.

All in all, there’s no way to watch any of Trump’s rallies and think of him as healthy. Trump’s dissociation from reality was on full display yet again Tuesday, as whoppers were compounded with slurring, shouting and very peculiar commentary.
