Day 1,026: Trump’s Veteran’s Day speech was typically odd and surrounded by resistance
Donald Trump kicked off the 100th annual New York City Veteran’s Day Parade with a speech. In typical Trump fashion, there was plenty of drama and oddities surrounding his attendance.
Outside, many people were loudly protesting him.
This despite the fact that many were obscured from Trump’s vision with large trash trucks.
But the trucks couldn’t reach 100s of feet high, where there were obvious protests to Trump.
Inside, Trump’s speech was met with a tepid response. That probably has something to do with the strangeness of it.
Some parts made no sense and were just plain peculiar. At one point Trump said, “You can shoot me, but you’ll have to kill us all. Something.”
He also struggled to read, as is typical when he is forced to use a teleprompter.
He may have tried hiding behind garbage trucks and plexiglass, but even Trump must have noticed the city he has called home his entire life in full revolt against his presence.
