Democrats claim big victories on Election Day 2019

Democrats looking for good news got a bundle more as Election Day 2019 provided a number of positive results.

Deep red Kentucky saw Donald Trump pushing hard for Matt Bevin, the incumbent Republican governor running for reelection. Four years ago, Bevin won by 9 points. But Tuesday it was the Democrat, Andy Beshear, who won a close race and will be sitting in the governor’s seat for the four-year term.

Trump even admitted how all-in he was on Bevin just a day ago when he stumped for Bevin in Lexington.

Tuesday it was more of the same, as he used his Twitter reach to push for Bevin again.

Elsewhere, Democrats picked up more wins. In Virginia, Democrats flipped both the House and Senate, in a state that turns bluer by the day. The results will have significant effects for years to come.

Democrats even flipped local races in places they haven’t been competitive for over 150 years.

Democrats have a lot to be happy about, as the blue wave trend has steadily continued since Trump’s election.
